gonna make a take that's might upset some of my more bougie-oriented friends but honestly i cannot conceive why someone would pay a subscription for half-baked software such as discord
so you can show your superiority with custom emoji in other servers? that really pisses me off
i have the disposable income to indulge in discord nitro if i wanted but i absolutely would not financially support such a badly run company like discord in the face of everything terrible with it including cross-platform support on linux

and this is why my server has external custom emoji disabled, and it upset some people in there that i did that, and that makes me glad
i just, absolutely have no time for enabling a caste system where a select few can do fun things that the rest of the server can't.
