goodness gracious why did i take embedded software engineering as my day job
i have a headache
trying not to spill too many beans... we're currently overseeing 7 different models of machines across 3 different manufacturers, all supposed to run the same code base (specific hardware layer abstractions aside)
this becomes hell quickly

one of those models is a newly introduced one into our line, and during the porting to it by a different team, they implemented functions to remap keys because it differed from other models
i've spent the past 2 days fixing this seemingly simple side effect bug on another model
