i don't get competition. i don't get flexing or showing off. in the chiptune (or, more generally, the music) world it seems everybody is obsessed with competing with one another. this is the part about making music i hate the most.
if we're mutuals and you make music, sorry, i've never heard any of your tracks. that's my big secret. i'm afraid you're better than me, because you probably are, and i'd rather live with inconclusiveness than the truth.
some people might feel bad that i'm intimidated by them, and honestly, i don't need that kind of personality clash in my life. i had enough of it in the past to put me in really bad mental health, let's just do each other's things without stepping on each other's toes.
this is why i try not to listen to anybody else's music. i don't like competition. maybe that makes me a bad person but at least it allows me to create instead of just feeling jealous about everything and keeping me away from creating.
