i want to retweet this thread because i think people have a right to be aware of what someone they follow/look up to has done, but please don't take this as a call for everybody to gang up on yet another trans woman

RT @TonyIsWrong@twitter.com

so, not to go into detail, but this happened:

everyone's favourite wholesome webcomic creator cyelatm has, unfortunately, Done Abuse

🐦🔗: twitter.com/TonyIsWrong/status

the thread i'm retweeting above is a good level-headed look at what happened, and i want that to be all i'm promoting here. and i don't want to add anything to it other than "hey think before you act on your feelings"

however, i do want to point out that that thread is from january 11 and since then juniper "cyelatm" has since deleted all her apologies and rebooted her comics anew like nothing happened (and since then, locked her account again to prevent more abusive people ganging on her)

it's a complicated issue but i think it's important to make people aware of it and discuss how we need to deal with accountability without turning it into abuse. that's something the mob mentality of twitter just isn't suitable for.
