in case anyone knows: i took this bootleg mega drive cartridge apart (interleaved 2x 27C4000) and adapted it to take 2x 39SF040 (sockets, move A18 pin) and checked all my connections. should work, but doesn't, and i don't know where to begin troubleshooting. ideas?
i got it to boot! believe it or not, it was just bad contacts... fiddling with the sockets and the cartridge slot enough, eventually i got a white screen, then an exception crash dump, then finally the sega logo!
