anyone know what's up with older (1998-2000) games not detecting Direct3D on Windows 2000 even though i've installed DX9.0c? looks like nothing older than 8.1 can be installed in Win2k, is there any way to make those games run?
ah! looks like lego racers complains a bunch during install, but does eventually run, only with some transparency issues in the HUD but otherwise playable!
lego stunt rally however, still complains about the lack of DX7
fwiw SOME games don't complain, like Hot Wheels Micro Racers. that one runs fine on this hardware under windows 2000, with 3d accel on
