imagine cultivating a label and a space for yourself and like-minded people only for 50 years later teenagers to tell you that actually that label is wrong and it means something else now and you're excluded from it

the disrespect exclusionist teens have on the internet for queer history is something i will never forgive

"but mavica you're just stoking generational warfare by playing the age card!" no. i'm telling kids to learn some history instead of telling others to go off themselves over what labels they chose. this is not something you sit by idly watching, & it's more serious than you think

anyway let's hope the kids read this and spread it around even if in bad-faith qrts. maybe it'll reach someone

also since apparently (maybe i'm the only one late to the party) the "sunset lesbian" flag creator has been showing her full ass parroting exclusionist and separatist rhetoric, please consider reading my blog post about the lesbian flag back from february: maple.pet/blog/lets-talk-about

oh my god she didn't even come up with it. she stole it, because of course she did. fuck emily gwen and fuck the sunset flag jesus christ twitter.com/Catastrfy/status/1

look, to clarify, i don't hate people who use the sunset flag. i hate the flag itself, because of its popularizer and how it was stolen. i hate its history and how it got chosen as "the de facto lesbian flag" without my or any other elders' input, on tumblr.

that being said, if you continue to use it, more power to you. those above are only the reasons why *i* won't use the sunset flag. if you think i'm going to have a problem over *others* using it, you didn't read my blog post upthread.
