it's a lot less versatile. which is what makes it all that more challenging to compose for and makes it more characteristic. which are the things i enjoy

jeff ranting about the pause button being on the *console itself* on the sega master system, and how sometimes it paused the game but some later games used it to trigger a status screen and that meant you had to sit close to the console 👌👌👌👌
