eurobeat is a fucking fantastic genre and there's So Much of it you'll definitely never run out of it
there's like hundreds of Super Eurobeat compilations for god's sake
it's the shovelware of music, except it's good
and you got a bunch of things that caught that wave, even more western stuff like stock aitken waterman, rick astley, divine, etc
but somehow it sold REALLY WELL in japan
and of course is mostly popularized (but not originated by) racing anime like initial d
and so italian producers figured people kept buying it so they kept producing it just song after song
and fucking god bless them i'm glad they did cause honestly musicallly you might argue that italo disco and eurobeat is just kinda samey dredge that's just pumped out for money but i dunno man i really enjoy it and i'm glad it exists and fucking good for them respect the hustle
also just a small detail i skipped over but what noodle mentions in the video about the lyrics making no sense yeah that's mostly cause the people who write those songs usually don't speak english very well or if they do they don't care about it and they just write whatever sounds good with the song and shit idk it works for me
ok so the thing about eurobeat is how it mostly comes from italy alright
and that's because
most italo disco producers from the 80s, they were already doing this kinda "music shovelware" thing
fucking michiel van der kuy is known for popping out a whole banger a day
And so the 80s ended and italo disco was starting to lose popularity
so they cranked up the tempo knobs in their synth machines and HI-NRG was born
