after reseating all ram, reseating and REPASTING the CPU(!!!!) memtest STILL FAILS no matter what but now steam starts, i guess

this still doesn't explain why steam specifically started having a memory read issue
or why it STOPPED happening
but at least i can come down from the anger rush of this laptop being fucking faulty
