i don't get follow for follow. i don't follow everybody who interacts with me. and a lot of toxic minded fediverse people have told me this is the wrong way to use this website ?? that i created ???? buddy i'm just here to broadcast my thoughts and you chose to follow me. i follow those who i want to hear too and that's not every single person here

@mavica_again I don't know if this counts as a negative post, so I removed my like, but yeah... Nobody should owe anyone a follow, particularly here where we've come to get away from the way the major social networking sites have become. We are here for genuine experiences not numbers.
@karithina that's just the thing though sometimes i post bangers and a bunch of people follow me and then they see my follows to followers ratio and go like "your ratio is wrong! follow more people!! you're toxic!!!"
it's all bullshit of course but it's a pet peeve on the 6 years i've been here
