writing code that uses libgnucash directly. it's so fucked up
there's a bunch of functions in there you need to use for everything else to work, but they don't get put in /usr/include so you have to include them from the source directory. stinky
basically I'm writing code to generate monthly PDF invoices for our non-profit members because there's no good way to do it from the GUI

@suricrasia trust me doing the other way around parsing pdf to cross-reference with an excel spreadsheet and mass-email the relevant parties instead is worse
