valve is "replacing" the "old" family sharing system with a "new and improved" system which "helpfully" prevents you from sharing games with anyone outside your country

@mavica_again Steam family sharing allows for a broad range of creative uses, unfortunately people used it to circumvent anti-cheat and server bans and other very clearly non-intended use cases.
Though instead of coming out and clearly stating that, they pull the ol' asshat of "restrictions as features" PR spin bullcrap unless you really dig into FAQ etc.
Gabe of Valve himself said “piracy is not a pricing issue. It’s a service issue”
Well, this is so bothersome, some may revert to piracy.
