so i bought an Amstrad NC100 as broken on ebay for less than 20 pounds. i was going to use just the shell and repurpose the keyboard to make it into a modern cyberdeck. i bridged a blown fuse and it's working. now what?

@mavica_again I’m hoping this is used as the end to Tubular Bells IV.

@mavica_again Not what I expected but brought a smile to my face just the same.

@mavica_again I think this is the first time I've ever been disappointed not to be rickrolled

@mavica_again

Does the NC100 have an infrared serial port?

I have one of its relatives (DreamWriter) which does and you can totally use it from across the room as a portable terminal.

@abortretryfail nope, only serial and lpt, and a memory card slot for which the 1MB SRAM cards are unobtainium (at a reasonable price)

@mavica_again

Darn. That must've been a DreamWriter exclusive feature. :(

At least you get BBC BASIC as a tradeoff.
