i used to be able to write a game in like a week by doing everything "wrong". now i feel obligated to write out several data structures and plan complicated movement logic before i can even put a sprite on the screen. i hate this. i want my 14 year old circuits back

maybe i'm just rusty (robot pun) but i feel it's increasingly hard to get started on a project anymore. i wish i could get my executive dysfunction and lack of focus patched out

@mavica_again I feel similar a lot of the time, with most of my projects.
I used to make random electronics projects all the time, but now I feel like I don't have the time.
I don't even feel like I have time for important projects, like finishing my car that's now 9 months overdue.
It took me 2 weeks to stick a bracket in the engine bay. But it took a total of 30 minutes of actual work for the whole thing.

@Stinkie GOD same!!! i put something off for months causing immense dread of it hanging over my head and then it's done in one sitting and i crash emotionally because it's over and now i have to find something else to do

@mavica_again 😭 samesies.
I need to do construction in my house, cause I couldn't afford a house that wasn't severely lacking walls and floors and stuff. Even though putting a wall in my garage will *greatly* benefit me (I'll actually have electrical outlets in there, a place to hang cabinets, 25% more fire resistance, +5 structural integrity) I feel completely unable to get it done. It's not a skill issue, I have all the tools and experience and ability. But like... Argh.
