anyone know anything about ?

i just got a V4.1 i'm trying with two amiga drives, i have --drive=0 option, both drives properly spin and seek (if i force a cylinder or use the clean function), but any read operation returns Command Failed: GetFluxStatus: No Index

i'm hoping the greaseweazle itself isn't the issue, still waiting on a pc floppy drive to arrive

ok new issue:

i've got a PC drive now and it properly works for reading

however with multiple disks (Amiga and DOS format) i am getting missing sectors somewhere above tracks 60-70 (varies a bit by disk)

is this my disks being consistently bad or is this indicative of a common drive issue?

it might've been a drive issue, a raw flux image with 3 revs per track seems to make a perfect image? or i've done something wrong, lol

i played with flux-erasing a disk and then reading it back and for some reason it managed to not erase a couple of tracks on one side which makes for very educational material comparing a demagnetized track vs. a FAT12 MFM formatted one

something that stands out to me is how the erased side is straighter than the formatted side being wobbly. that's (i imagine) a tell that the original formatting was done in a different drive with a slightly different head alignment

now i wish i had stuff to archive but i guess at least it's useful for writing new amiga disks without having to do it through the amiga itself

@atax1a you'd think the head can't change between tracks and 0-60 read without issue

the raw fluxes i took later seem intact so i think the worm gear might've been cranky the first few go arounds

@mavica_again we would still love you if you were a worm gear, or something
