i really should just learn node/js already. the Cool Kids are doing it and it might make doing some things I want to do easier later on

@mona idk, there have been a lot of very poorly considered ideas already. if nothing else, it's everywhere, and there's something to be said for it.

@KitRedgrave Well, sure, but nothing _good_! One can acknowledge its ubiquity, but that is rather like deciding on a career as a McDonalds short-order cook because there's one on every street corner.

@mona my mindset is more like eating McDonald's for lunch because it's here and i just wanna get back to work as fast as possible

@KitRedgrave *winces* I dispute the "fast", in this case, and I really hate to see another developer contributing, even for understandable reasons, to the further degradation in functionality and utility of desktop computing. node.js really is _ruining_ things for all of us, you know...
