It appears that the plot so far is:
- robotnik is holding the president hostage to convince sonic and tails to go to the place he lives (in his robot city, that’s in a secret underworld dimension) and fight an even more evil robotnik that just showed up randomly that’s giving him a hard time and on the verge of causing some huge calamity

He has a whole monologue about how he and sonic have been friends for so long, and so instead of charging sonic money up front for saving him, he’s just going to put it on his tab

Okay so the plot ended up kinda being almost the same as the first Pokémon movie????
