Video games touch and inspire me on the regular. It's been really obnoxious that friends of mine that consider themselves enlightened would ignore the existence of games with transgressive and revolutionary themes and poo poo them entirely if they happen to receive critical acceptance.
The industry, or whatever, has a serious problem with reactionary elements serving as the vocal component of prominent communities, but we do only ourselves a disservice by giving the entire art up to them.
2019 is my going to be my year to be authentic, to be kind, and to play a whole lot of old-school FPSes.
@eightbitsamurai@elekk.xyz yeah honestly I can't get into Persona shit any more between the transphobic beach scene in Persona 3, the wet fart of so-called queer storytelling in Persona 4, and ... a lot of stuff about Catherine. I decided to assume Persona 5 probably also has some shit that everyone is glossing over just because of their intense fascination with this series.
