Pretty underwhelmed by mastodon so far. Is there a way to block all anime? Glamorous selfies from groups I'm not interested in seeing that way, bizzare meaningless posts? Ie is there a way to filter out the 98% stream of horse shit? If not mastodon is doomed
@alcvol 1. don't follow the federated timeline if you don't like it, or block instances you don't like
2. if your instance's local timeline isn't to your liking, find an instance that is

It's remarkably simple and we've been getting along just fine like that, regardless of any doomsayers
