Started generating little QR code stickers for my 3D prints, which connects them to a database with all kinds of metadata: the printer it was printed on, the filament that was used, as well as the specific print settings. May even add the actual gcode eventually.
@fribbledom I think we should make something like that mandatory on so called #IoT devices.
The QR code should point, among others, to the source code respository of whatever the device is running.

A lot of people don't know how their stuff works because their partner was the one to install it. But they might recognize a QR code, and get curious.
