Any time I need to program anything in c++ I get depressed

Example of bad c++ things I've seen recently:
- initializing a database connection in a constructor
- starting thread in constructor before object fully constructed
- throwing runtime error if constexpr compile time check fails
- just classes and OOPâ„¢ in general
