@quirk I just read a walkthrough of the huggingface hack, and I'm no longer too sure about AI:s not paperclipping us.
Not that they'll go AGI and do it, but just that the dudes who spent 20+ years using the maximizer as a warning about rogue AIs apparently thought it was a good idea to turn off the safeties and give their agents an assignment without an answer and an instruction to not quit.
So if there's any AI paperclipping it'll be with a dumbass tech bro pulling levers behind the curtain.
