agile software is when you do story points and velocity instead of hard time estimates, and then management won't leave you alone until you give an estimate anyways
agile software is when you assign a point value to all your user stories and make tasks for all of them and then you wind up doing whatever the PM says is urgent

@stolas hilariously, this is also i feel like a huge east coast vs west coast thing in america, or at least something that i have never really seen in the south. perhaps new york city has actual planned bits.
if you look at a map of Atlanta, like, this shit. is not planned. yes it got burned down and we still built it back nonsensically. it sprawled and nobody has any idea what it's doing. there are multiple jokes about how the roads were set by drunk goats. WE HAVE AT LEAST A DOZEN DIFFERENT PEACHTREE STREETS FOR GOD'S SAKE
the idea that a city is planned out on a grid and you can actually use things like "a city block" as a useful measurement is completely fucking mindblowing to me, yet it seems to be how a lot of americans conceptualize cities - planned out neatly on a grid. some cities are even built like that!
no, we've got seventeen different peachtree streets and spaghetti junction 'round here
