So, a fun thing about dual booting and bluetooth is that your different OS will be using the same hardware and so they'll have the same address, which means that your bluetooth device will not be able to tell them apart.

This has consequences when your device is paired with one OS, and is trying to connect to the other OS.

Either you need to pair your device again every time you switch OS, or you need to extract the link key from one OS and import it to the other.

Touch & Go (2009) is a game that works in touchHLE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wecX4c0mUN8), but one of the most obscure; it's very difficult to get hold of it. But now, The Game Creators have very graciously given me permission to redistribute it on the touchHLE website!

https://touchhle.org/app-archive/

This is the beginning of a new touchHLE-related project: archiving of old games with developer permission. If you were a indie developer who made games in the early days of the iOS App Store and would like to help future generations to enjoy them, please get in touch! Thanks!

oh, the only way to pay for parking in this place I'm visiting is to download a regional parking app I will never use again? no thank you, I will simply drive directly into the sea

I have lived long enough to see the phase "there's an app for that" go from a marketing slogan to a threat

My new favorite thing I've encountered on Wikipedia- the notice to discourage everyone from adding their cat pictures to the cat article, at risk of being immediately reverted

don't buy your audiophile cables from ea-nasir, the copper isn't even oxygen-free

Looking at a scan of an old Apple II disk drive manual and I think some of you will enjoy this illustration

How cool is that?! A new, so far unknown version of Stunts (a.k.a. 4D Sports Driving) for MS-DOS was just uploaded to archive.org. These 5.25" disks are dated from December of 1990 and the binary files are actually quite different compared to the later version.

I just love this community! 😃

The winners of this year's "Small World" micro-photo competition are out. I'm especially intrigued by this astonishing shot: a struck match, caught at the exact moment of ignition.
(It ended up in second place, go figure.) #science #photography

it's also an interesting exercise because concepts like like “place of honour”, “highly esteemed deed … commemorated”, “system of messages”, “powerful culture” are fairly complicated. glossing is required!

is there a project to translate the WIPP messages (http://wipp.info/ ; “this place is not a place of honor” etc) into every language. if not, it must be started. my gf just remarked to me that these should be the new sample texts for translation, instead of the Lord's Prayer
