Wife just spent several days troubleshooting webcam drivers; today I look at it, the event log mentions a problem during camera initialization, and just some numeric code. I look for that code and a Lenovo page tells me to see if the camera is not disabled... with the F8 key.

I press F8 and the camera fucking works again.
