So I picked up this absolute wreck of a PowerMac 8500/120 off of eBay last week.
Seller said it “chimes, no video” which sounded like a reasonable problem for me to diagnose and fix.
Took it all apart, inspected the motherboard — looked 100% pristine — reseated all the memory, and plugged in power, keyboard, Mac->VGA video dongle, and a BlueSCSI, and wouldn’t you know it… it fired right up.
Also, not stock! Has a 604e/233 card in it!
