"snail mail" is such a perfectly 90s internet boom turn of phrase, even as wikipedia says it began in the 70s. which makes sense, it's also a perfectly 70s computer nerd turn of phrase
wikipedia also points out this delightful ad from 1968
Jim Inhofe, the Oklahoma senator who
Brought a snowball to the Senate floor to "refute" climate change
Received an inhuman amount of money from Oil lobbyists
Fought against Covid relief measures during the pandemic
...has died from long Covid.
Bring that snowball to hell with you for a quick joke for all your new friends, Jimmy.

no we are all horrified he might retire because the only thing making pc gaming usable is the fact that steam isn't a publicly traded company and thus it doesn't have to cater to endless growth enshittification and can blow it's stupid amounts of money on projects like the steam deck
and as soon as it goes public we're all fucked lol

Illinois has enacted a ground breaking law that requires influencers whose kids appear in 30% or more of their social media content to pay their children. The money should be kept in a trust until the kid is 18 and if not, the child has the right to sue the parents.
This is good. Every state should enact similar laws.

I noticed that. That's an impossible law to pass until attitudes towards guns change.
In Canada most people were raised with guns used for hunting not personal protection (unless protection from wildlife, not human). The US is the only country in the world where so many people feel the need to protect themselves using guns. Killing each other is normalized.
