gender feels, sad
Had a bit of a sad today thinking about the money it will cost to start on private care for HRT, and also having to deal with registering at my local GP surgery.
Brain went to me having to wait another year before getting on HRT and I couldn't shake that. Left me feeling pretty sad about myself for most of today.
I just wanna be a girl.

@renbymon@computerfairi.es are you open to the idea of self medding? If so, give Pae a poke, she found a site that ships to the UK, seems genuine, didn't steal her money

@kevinisageek I am actually

@renbymon as a warning word: without an endocrinologist and testing, you CAN have undesireable outcomes. A year is not an unrealistic prospect, tho my timeline was February this year beginning to prescribing in November. Private care assessment and Endo, NHS prescription (eventually) cost about £600 ish all in
re: gender feels, sad
@Pipponprops Yeah, would still prefer to go private (GenderGP) but I'm having a real hard time keeping the sads at bay. Thanks for your advice <3
re: gender feels, sad
@renbymon treat yourself to some pamper shit. It helps. At least with managing the dysphoria.
re: gender feels, sad
@Pipponprops I'd like to do that, and go clothes shopping with someone sometime; always had a hard time picking for myself.
re: gender feels, sad
@Pipponprops Oh shit thanks, I didn't know that.
Uuuggghhh fucking hate how the NHS is being run right now ;_;
re: gender feels, sad
@renbymon it’s not great. If you want who I used, I had dr Sahota for my assessment and dr Christine Mimnagh as my Endo. They are both lovely people who suck ass at responding to emails, but Sahota works at Tavistock GIC and Mimnagh is the clinical lead at at a Gender specialist clinic, it gives so much weight to their private consults when dealing with GP’s. Also Mimnagh is quite openly trans, it’s nice having your Endo invested in your care.
