@avon_deer It's starting to feel like they canned HS2 to fund this instead, but they couldn't say that outright so funds are to be "redirected" to local transport projects, which can then be redirected when said projects are declared "unviable".
I hope it's not this and that all the promises will be kept, but the cynical side of me says to not hold my breath.
