I am *extremely* excited that I finally found an artist I can trust with doing a proper ref sheet for my dragon. it’s been a long time since I had a ref sheet that wasn’t just a pile of “yeah like this I guess?” images

this does mean I now have to nail down a lot of tiny details (like very small color tweaks/tuning) but

like originally I was deliberately a silvery-blue “cloudy sky” kinda color but this artist did draw me as a much more saturated bright blue, and frankly, it looks so fantastic that I’m not sure I want to correct them

and like, in general, I think attaching meaning to a specific part of your fursona is a recipe for disappointment because then you’ll be super frustrated when someone invariably reinterprets it or gets it wrong?

like it’s cool to think about “and this part symbolizes this” but then you gotta check every tiny thing and be *so* picky about it. it makes every piece of art into this high-stakes emotional nightmare.

so fuck it! maybe I’m just bright blue now
