me, giggling, snuggling up to my boyfloof: “just put on anything, we can ignore it”

me thirty minutes into the first episode of Babylon 5, sitting bolt upright in bed, laser-focused: “so do you think it was a false-flag operation or do you think they actually are telling the truth? everyone in this room is probably lying to some degree”

the funniest part of this story is that we started from Farscape which I can only describe as a pulp isekai with practical effects by Jim Henson, which is sadly not anywhere near as fun or interesting as that sounds because the writing is on par with a Sci-Fi channel original

and I say this as someone who’s watched *far* too many episodes of Sci-Fi originals at this point, mostly to have a way to spend time with my leaffriend and have something to listen to while working on model kits or chores

Warehouse 13 was like 60% brainless cheesy fun, 30% dumb, 10% “why”, but honestly for the era that’s probably a pretty good hit rate, all considered

Eureka had exactly one good actor/plot and it sure wasn’t the protagonist

anyway all this to say I might be the world’s most recent person to discover maybe Babylon 5 slaps actually, looking forward to the next like five seasons of whatever, then going on Usenet to see what people had to say about this twenty years ago
