The thing about staying in a modern hotel is remembering that motion smoothing is a thing on new TVs. Absolutely terrible to experience.
@avon_deer It's an interpolation thing on new TVs to make "sports look better" but for everything else it makes things look weirdly fast moving.
@renbymon Can't it be disabled on the fly? Sounds like the kind of feature that should have a menu option,.
@avon_deer It can on some, a lot of them are locked down. Thankfully I was able to turn it off on this one, but it makes me think of people who having bought a new TV will be saddled with this "feature" and never turn it off
@renbymon You actually use the TV in hotel rooms?
