List includes Trigun (space western), Neon Genesis Evangelion (giant robot), and Cowboy Bebop (another space western)
Methinks they don't understand cyberpunk as a genre.
@garrwolfdog Ohh that's a fair point! Though having said that the list did not include Bubblegum Crisis, a definite cyberpunk classic.
P.S. I've been watching BGC again and that got me thinking about other cyberpunk anime ^^
@renbymon right!? Cowboy Bebop is sorta close, but not really. I think part of the problem is there's a distinct edge of psychosexual body horror to a lot of Japanese cyberpunk, so a lot of it isn't suitable for those lists.
