Why is academia so slow at acknowledging things that are plain to anyone with a working pair of eyes? (not taking aim at this guy specifically; just academics in general)

@renbymon Ah you know this guy? He popped up on my feed a few weeks ago and I am kinda hooked. Him and Mark Blyth have to be my favourite economists.
