In a conversation with a friend on Saturday night I was marvelling at how cheap guitars (standard and bass) are actually acceptable enough that a new band could start out with them and be okay until they could afford to upgrade. This got me thinking about drum kits, because acoustic ones are pretty expensive, then I saw electric drum kits and they're not that much more expensive than guitars nowadays! :o
