@avon_deer The march to make things smaller means high performance, high heat parts in cases with barely sufficient airflow. That said, the majority of my customers are laptop based and actual hardware faults are pretty uncommon.
@karyxdragon@avon_deer For the number of HP laptops we have on our estate the number of hardware faults that aren't user error (overheating due to blocking air flow, water/physical damage, etc) or due to Windows being weird, are quite low.
@renbymon@avon_deer Much the same here. I've been supplying a lot of Asus Expertbooks and they're really nice little laptops. Easy enough to upgrade, double M.2 slots and decent feeling keyboards. Not bad for about 500 squids a unit.
