Yinglets and OoPs friends
Poak?
@renbymon Po as in zhe river in Italy, Ak as in Ak-ak
@renbymon Pwack. No further quesy.
@renbymon you said "sounds like boat" and not "like poke"?
@rwrv My brain went to boat first ^^;
To me Boat and Poke have the same O sound so yeah like poke :3
@renbymon @rwrv odd, I pronounce them differently
idk what the precise IPA symbols are but for me with poke the tongue stays at the bottom of the mouth, while with the -oa- digraph in boat (or poak) it is lifted a bit
@zuthal @renbymon i tried moving my tongue around and it didn't seem to make a difference?
@rwrv @renbymon explaining phonotactics is really hard xP
but here's what it sounds like (slightly exaggerated for effect)
@zuthal @renbymon ahhh i see
@rwrv @renbymon yeah
also fuck i feel like i sound really british in that
@zuthal @renbymon didn't sound too British to me, most vibes i got from it was possibly German
