It has Arch on it already. I'm moving away from Arch because they've dropped x86 support and even using Arch 32 I'm going to have to compile somethings that aren't in the distro, so might as well streamline this with Gentoo.

I know Gentoo kinda gets a bad rap but I really like the level of customisation and control that I get from it.

*finds out about distcc which offloads compiling to a server/group of servers*

Heck yes I managed to upgrade Arch on my EeePC after not using it for two years, haha. Had to switch to Archlinux 32 to get it to work, but while doing that I broke it, haha.
