Anyone after #retroComputing fonts?
Just found this GitHub repository full of fonts for quite a few systems

@philpem I'm suddenly thinking it might be dodgy RG6; I was using the stuff that came with the house and last time I stripped some back the shield just turned to dust.
Gonna see about running off a new cable tonight and will try again.
Some of the lushest #Amiga AGA graphics you'll ever see. Ishar II and III are a treat for the eyes - and are solid RPGs.
Silmarils would sadly go bankrupt in 2003 after publishing a truly varied catalogue of games but are best known for their RPGs.
I'm sooo tired of the style of "physchological horror" where whole deal is "the monster was actually a manifestation of your own damaged psyche!!!".
like, that can be great as subtext but is justa huge fucking cop-out otherwise. it's just the "it was all a dream" crap with extra blood.
Have the courage to have a character dealing with some shit AND facing an ACTUAL monster; and No, "humans are the real monsters!" doesn't cut it. I deal with humans being IRL monsters on a daily basis ffs.
Give us proper, meaningful, monsters!!!!
@philpem I have tried using my HackRF on one of my LCD TVs but the TV has a real hard time locking and I guess that's the board itself because it's an unofficial one.
Would like to find some actual CATV hardware to use. :)
@philpem Ahh right yes was going to stay in that space as it's all my TVs can tune to ^^
@philpem "C" as in Group C?
I'd be interested to know what hardware you're using as I haven't thought about specifics other than some chinese UHF modulators I've seen on ebay.
@philpem I think maybe, yeah? Like a hotel TV system, no cable decoder.
Honestly yeah doing spoof adverts, continuity announcements, bumpers/idents/trailer packages would be really fun too!
@philpem Been thinking a lot about this for myself but on a UHF/terrestrial system. Definitely going to have a 24/7 MST3K channel!
I've also been thinking that it'd be really cool to be able to schedule blocks of programs, like how a TV channel would, so it's not just episode after episode of one show but one show followed by another and then another every day.
Source code for Playstation classic 'Wipeout' leaked last year. A dev has rewritten and improved the code - and it runs great on #Linux - https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2023/08/play-wipeout-rewrite-ubuntu
Had a wee photoshoot at the house today.
Wasn’t supposed to be but then the weather was the worst.
Still, more shots of the armour is a good day for me :D
Today I unpackaged the respiratory PPE I bought for #latex chlorination and read through the documentation that came with it.
The respirator, a 3M 6502, was $66 and came with a set of 3M 60923 filters that are only $25/pair to replace.
The NIOSH schedule for these filters has them rated for OVs, SO2, HCl, Cl2, ClO2, HF, HS, and P100 (99.97% of particulates).
Y'all, if PPE that is THIS GOOD is THIS AFFORDABLE, there is literally no excuse if your work exposes you to airborne hazards. 😤
