It's a fun sign of the times that both #BaldursGate3 and #ArmoredCore6 just work perfectly out of the box in Linux under #Proton for me.

For all the "political" issues around stuff like NVIDIA's drivers, and Wayland vs X11, and all that, Linux gaming has never been in as good a state as it is today.

I'm in that place where I have too many amazing games to play and I can't decide which one to spend my time on.

At #WutheringBytes last weekend the fantastic @folknology sponsored and ran a workshop to get us started building an #opensource mechanical keyboard. I've just finished mine and got it up and running. I need some custom keycaps but I love it!

I'd go a step further: if something has no commercial value, preventing people from using, sharing, modifying, or expressing it should be illegal.

Not just copyrighted things. Also any DRM protecting something no longer for sale or that doesn't receive updates or support.

Locked bootloader on a ten year old phone? Illegal. Locked down jtag pins and bootrom on an always-online device after the services are turned down? Illegal. Class action suits up the wazoo.

It should be illegal to withhold from the commons.
