Really need to go speak to my dad soon and tell him that I'm trans and I'm gonna change my name, but the anxiety is holding everything up. :s
Next year, when the weather gets better, I really need to go on a camping trip with @BridleTimeout.
What's stopped me this year was getting hold of some comforts that we'd rather have with us. Should have them for next year. :)

getting some use out of my foundation ham license by making contact for the first time in about 4 years from the National Radio Centre (who very graciously noticed @unlobito and I had licenses and asked if we wanted a go! they were lovely)
the person I made contact with (David / MM0LGR) was all the way in Ayr! (well, 15 mi south)
@DarkOverord @KrllGojira In the Leeds area we're expecting an Olympics/Football bid to be won and thus divert all the funds set aside for the sorely needed mass transit system, as has happened multiple times before.

VDSL over bannana apparently tester got 53680/12658 kbps connection speed on a short run from in-house exchange/DSLAM, through banana, to VDSL2 modem. way better than what i got at home...

@avon_deer I actually had a nightmare last night, the first time in a long time, about being chased by people who wanted me dead because I'm trans.
I'm fed up with the media and now the main two political parties treating us like dirt. Any party that wants my vote is gonna have to be loud and proud about trans rights.
@avon_deer Right now, and this is being a bit selfish but honestly I have to look at who's actively looking after my safety. Though I agree that a devolved Yorkshire would be best, the party hasn't really spelled out what its stance on certain rights are.
Given how the Tories are acting now, and how Starmer has proven untrustworthy, I'm only looking at parties that are out there staying trans rights.
It's 2023; this shouldn't be a conversation that we're having.
@avon_deer Oh don't get me wrong I agree that a fully devolved regional assembly would be fantastic but I can't stand behind someone I don't feel right about.
