The OpenAI tussle is between the faction who think Skynet will kill them if they build it, and the faction who think Roko's Basilisk will torture them if they don't build it hard enough.

A bit more progress on my head! Brained good enough to fit the head straps and test the fit; nice and comfy! Now I need to work on the ears, etc!

Source code for Infocom’s original interpreters released: with little fanfare, Andrew Plotkin uploaded a trove of newly-discovered source code for various 1980s computers to GitHub arstechnica.com/gaming/2023/11

"young people can't buy homes because they'd rather buy big fancy TVs"

I am begging older generations to understand that televisions have gone from "a thing that costs 4 months' salary" to "a thing you get for free when your roommate moves and can't be bothered to take it"

@quincyotter I need to do a lot of foam work to this (ears and jawline) but yeah I'm really happy with how it's turning out ^^

There isn't much front vision, but there is some so it's not too bad. :)

For years, people have asked, who is the princess of dot software? where is the skunk that calls the shots? It turns out it is @BestGirlGrace, here

Stop treating open source projects and foundations like consumer-facing businesses.

Unless you've got a paid support contract that's being neglected, or there's a grave concern, it's inappropriate to escalate issues to massively public forums.

Maintainers and the staffers and volunteers at foundations are already overworked.

Don't make it harder for them to address your issue by ALSO making them waste time firefighting in public.

@feliciarabbiton I'd have liked to put the DLR in too but that may be a bit too much.

@feliciarabbiton Epping to West Ruislip on the Central Line.
West Ruislip to Uxbridge via Bus.
Uxbridge to Cockfosters on the Picadilly line.
Cockfosters to High Barnet via Bus.
High Barnet to Morden via the Northern line.
Morden to Stratford via Croydon Tram to West Croydon, Overground to Whitechapel, Elizabeth Line to Stratford.
Stratford to Stanmore via the Jubilee line.
Stanmore to Harrow & Wealdstone via bus.
Harrow & Wealdstone to Elephant & Castle via the Bakerloo line.

@feliciarabbiton Assuming some of the longest trips on each line (Epping to West Ruislip, for example) it'd come to somewhere between 8 or 9 hours (7 hours 44 minutes if you never have to wait). That would get all five lines in with some bus journeys and a trip from Morden to Startford using the Croydon Tram, the Overground, and the Elizabeth line.

@sosh Bakerloo, Central, Jubilee, Northern, and Picadilly, from what I can see. Trying to work out if I can do at least one leg of the whole route of each line. :3

Thinking again about going to London and riding all the lines with pre 2000 tube stock before the new the new trains are rolled out in 2025.

Space Shark Doo-Doo-Doo

Shark dude floating in space 🚀

Looking a little tired too, guess he's taking a break from work!

Suit is based off of the hardspace ship breaker videogame, difficult part was dealing with the characters tail, being a shark and all that...
