it has a friend who finally managed to flee out of russia to georgia with another friend, both trans
they don't really have a lot of resources and no idea how to continue, their plan on getting into the EU unfortunately failed and they fear that they might not be able to stay in georgia for too long
does anyone know someone or some organisation or some resources that might be able to help? pls send it a DM here or a signal message (aurora.292)
boosts appreciated
The "joke" stopped being funny as soon as people started legitimately calling it a slur. A derogatory term for an LLM is one thing, but when it becomes "haha I can actually say a slur because they aren't real!" you gotta wonder why so many people seem to really enjoy doing that
robot slur that's just a slur for Hispanic people
Stop saying "wireback". It's just a play on a real, actual slur for Hispanics. It doesn't matter that there aren't sentient robots; there are plenty of people out there who would get called w**back as-is and I'm sure very few of them appreciate the tongue-in-cheek variant for "robots". The "robot slur" "joke" isn't funny when you're just modifying real slurs for real marginalized people.
UK immigration
Due to my various changes of visa types, I actually took the ten year route to permanent residency. It sucked. Nobody should have to do this.
Part of what's shit about it is that visa categories change everytime some fuckwit in power changes their mind about how to scapegoat us. I was on multiple different kinds of student visa because they kept changing that. They eliminated the post-study visa that I got the day after I applied for it. They kept changing the spousal visa, so I had to do that multiple times. They charge a fortune every time. The prices are constantly rising. The rules are constantly changing. I always had to be ready to just fucking leave if I got rejected, which they will over extremely minor errors. It's much harder to rent a flat and roughly 15% more than market rent because fuck you, that's why. Changing jobs can be difficult. Some doctors are weird about referrals.
People shouldn't have to spend a decade being that precarious.
Actually, yes, it does a bit. Even if you don't explicitly agree with their abhorrent treatment of the dispossessed and those generally different to you, you are indolent and complicit in their hatred. By voting for them, supporting them, you enable them and you are as bad as them. The blood of every dead migrant and refugee is on your hands. If you disagree block me and move on. I will not engage with you.
@trans_lykanthropie 100% same. Would rather not have to think about that ever again.
It was bad enough when the character came back a few years ago for things like 8 out of 10 cats
