I've always wondered what these #britishrail plates are for. There's quite a few of them in Bradford city centre.
However I've just worked out, while writing this toot, that they point to Bradford's two central rail stations; Forster Square and the Interchange.
I don't recall seeing these anywhere else! Surely they do appear in other cities?

@kevin it's a piece of 80s kit, so communication is via serial, but it's solidly built. Looking forward to getting it working!
Brain has decided that I'm gonna fart about with a #hamradio TNC this weekend, an AEA PK-232MBX. I've got two, had them for a while, but kept blanking on getting the tools to make it usable. I now have said tools to make up the required cables. :>

Excuse the crude markup, but here’s a snippet of the work we’re doing on the Pawb.Social hardware!
We’ve got the main node hosting all of the various services for Pawb.Social (the multiple Mastodon instances, Lemmy, databases, etc.), and a new node we’re still provisioning for HA use.
Further down we’ve got the NAS (currently backups and Lemmy), two Dell TL4000 tape drives (for backups), and an APC SM3000RM2U backup UPS.
Both of the main nodes are running Proxmox v8 as the host OS (Debian bookworm) and are nearly identical in specs and hardware.
Original node specs:
- Intel 13th Gen i7-13700K
- 128 GB DDR4 RAM
- 4 TB HDD for local temp backups
- 1TB and 500 GB NVMe SSDs for VM / Container use
- Dual 10Gb NIC

@xenophora random reminder that “amateur” comes from “amator (lover)”, and it’s original sense was someone who loved a pursuit intensely despite no formal training. And it was used as an insult only later, and then only by the aristocracy sneering at class.

Okay really thinking about making a Zoroark fursuit in time for May next year? I was planning Renamon but Zoroark is something I actually have the patterns for and won't take a lot to make work, whereas Renamon will require a lot more work ^^

Phew okay after a weekend of graft I've got the 3D printer up and running again!
The stock firmware wasn't working at all, it would just hang on a blank screen. Rolled my own marlin firmware and it worked first time!
It's all levelled and is ready to print!
@zalno A friend on bird site said that I could be a Zoroark whatever form I take and no one would know, and that's really resonated with me!
