Modern TVs have dimming features that can adjust backlight power in specific parts of the screen, sometimes even at the individual pixel level.

We wanted to see whether adapting BBC content could make use of these features and reduce energy consumption.

@twll We've been with just WiFi for a while and though I could just stick with it I also want to run coax for TV and radio into other rooms, and maybe other things in future (who knows?) So it is tempting to do some trunking :3

It'd be a load of work to do it but I keep thinking about putting down some trunking in the house. Would make routing ethernet and coax cables around the house much easier.

@darac @fatedfox @dh Trouble with RPMs was the entire reason that I wanted to try something that wasn't RPM based. ^^

I don't recall exactly how I got into Linux. I think I'd gotten a copy of Mandrake and then SuSE 7.2, but the big thing was definitely @darac and @dh giving me a copy of Debian (Woody or Sarge) to play around with. :)

The linux mascot Xenia is such a big deal for me because
1) shes trans
2) she's a fox
3) she's into Linux

I am
1) trans
2) a fox
3) into Linux

@rinidisc @Feyyore 100% about how snap and flatpack are bad and feel weird coming from RHEL and Canonical and we really shouldn't trust them given their recent shit.

At least, that's my recent ramblings >.>

@Pipponprops I really enjoyed Enterprise EXCEPT for that theme tune, haha ^^

Stellar cast and some great stories! Also cool to have them really lean into the fact that a starship acts way more like a submarine in space.

@Pipponprops 1) Been thinking of going to the Arcade Club sometime before my birthday too
2) Also been thinking about the NX series uniform >.>

So a question for people who've known me for a long time (like 5 or more years)-

Did you know that I'm trans before I knew myself/came out in the late 2010s, if so when did you know?
