Demanding professional references from people with neurodivergent brains that make it difficult to maintain contact with former colleagues is ableist.

We are professionals who do good work and work great with people but please don't ask us to maintain social relationships which aren't meaningful to us beyond a reference. I didn't want to stay "friends" with someone only because I might need them later. What an awful thing to do.

The bad: back in March, some French legislators introduced a bill to limit gender-affirming care for minors.

The good: yesterday, the Defender of Rights, an office of the French government dedicated (among others) to defending children’s rights, has published an official opinion describing gender-affirming care as a fundamental right, and decrying attempts to ban or limit it as an attack on children’s rights.

Furry is a fucking culture, not the theme of some temporary tattoos set out in a bowl in the breakroom by the marketing department on the first day of pride month.

Why the fuck is so many "Tech people" (not only Techbros) okay with LLMs eating up the planet while private citizens, as always, are the only one having to mitigate the damage?

"Make gas cars illegal!" - "Double the electricity bill!" - "Everyone has to compost at home!" - "Hey look at this new toy that eats enough drinking water to feed Ireland, let's do more of that!"

This isn't some anomalous occurrence due to the happenstance of a protest. They are like this 24/7/365, lying, cheating, brutalizing, doing everything they can to stay in power, and that's why they must be dismantled.

There is a better future ahead. If their rule was just, they wouldn't have to expend so much effort to maintain it.
