@vvelox It's "out of scope" for us, and out of warranty (though this would be chargeable because it's clearly user damage) so it's going to a weee company to recycle.

@LightTheUnicorn Yeah I suspect they just weren't paying attention, which is the common way that we end up with "User damage" faults x)

@garrwolfdog I can only assume that they put the laptop down on a piece of chocolate one day because they weren't paying attention.

@gc These laptops are surprisingly resilient; I've seen the aftermath of a lot of coffee spills and they generally keep chugging other than a faulty trackpad or keyboard

User: "My laptop is really hot all the time."
Me: *turns it over, finds the rubber strip has peeled off due to the heat, and notices some brown splotches blocking the intake grill*
Me: I think that's your problem.
