Just a quick note to new Mastodon users:

Remember, there's no algorithm pushing hateclicks to you incessantly here, so you actually determine what people see by what you like enough to boost.

The control we always wanted more of there, actually exists here, but more control requires a little more input/effort on our part.

Adding text to photos takes a few more seconds, but it's very helpful to visually impaired users.

Mastodon will likely appeal more to those who want to help make it great.

Ooh, ooh, I can repost my most popular tweet!

Tiny dragons need kobolds too~

Just realised that there's less than 9 weeks until . Should start thinking about what stuff I want to take now that I have a car and can drive myself. :)

Finally got myself a flight case for my mixer and CDJs. I'm going to have to make up some custom power and audio cables, but once done I will be able to just put one box in the car rather than multiple boxes!

To anyone thinking about joining BlueSky, especially artists: everything you post is used to train generative AI models.

BlueSky uses AI to label content for moderation, and to do that they use a company called thehive.ai. If you look through their privacy policy, you will see that they all content sent to them to train models for all their services, which include generative AI for both text and images.

It’s a built in “feature” and cannot be turned off.

Getting back into #BotW again, so here's Hylian NPC Orin, hearty radish farmer. :>

I do want to share this piece of wonderful gift art from Devlin (pictured as the victim).

Devlin surprised Epoxy, so got a nice thick coating of glue for his trouble! It's best to leave Epoxy alone when she's

You don't need to use the official Mastodon apps, they're not the best way to use Mastodon. The official apps only arrived last year, and they were intended as "Fisher Price My First Mastodon" things with a restricted set of features.

Third party apps have been around longer than official ones, and include way more features. You can sign in with the same account on all apps.

:android: On Android try Tusky, Fedilab, Megalodon, Tooot

:apple_inc: On iPhone/iPad, try Toot!, Ice Cubes, Ivory, Mona

Gluing pieces together using glue and once it's cured I'll go over the joins with some epoxy before starting on finishing!

If you see this, please share it so it's easier for people who know me to find me.

Thanks for your time.

Though I present mostly as a Renamon, my Supervillain character "Epoxy" has kinda become how I want to present myself RL.

She's MtF trans and has glue spraying gadgets to subdue "do-gooders" and the like!

Welcome to mastodon. A couple of things.

On this platform there is no limit of how many toots (yes, that is what we call tweets) you can see per day.

There is no verified option you have to pay for. (however a donation to your instance owner would be nice).

Please use alt tags to descrive your photo's. We will be thankfull for that.

You can follow everyone inside and outside your instance.

Mastodon is for the users, by the users.

With the latest Twitter migration, this maybe a really good time for old hands & newcomers alike to ensure your complete @username@servername is in your Twitter bio and then to run the tool at fedifinder to get the .csv file and connect up with Twitter contacts again to help everyone get settled in.

Might as well post this here too

Our office has a quote of the day board that’s not been updated in about a month

So

Oh god this is so silly but I know how much joy
@seadragom
is getting out of these images and I remember how excited he got over seeing the bananatrain (Aka the New Measurement Train - UK )when we hung out on our distanced walks during covid. They're neat #traindragon

It's about time I got to glueing the 3D printed helmet together. That's tomorrow's job.

After gluing I need to work on gluing and finishing/painting, then I can work on the cage and finally the visor. 3/3

I recently got to try on the cloak for a final fitting and it was a dream come true! It still needs final adjustments.

When I woke up this morning brain went "Oh remember when you tried on your Dark Knight cloak recently? Here's some belated endorphins!"

"Remember how it felt to have it around your neck and shoulders, how it felt to swish your arms around? Have some more endorphins! You're getting that cloak in a couple of months! " 2/3

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it here but I'm a HUGE fan of a villain character called "The Dark Knight" (pictured below) from an old BBC kids show "Incredible Games"

I've wanted to have a cosplay of this since I was a kid, and this year I should FINALLY be able to do this!

I commissioned someone to make the cloak and another to 3D model the helmet, which has been 3D printed and just needs putting together. 1/3
