Decided to part my hair over one side of my head and I think I look kinda cute????

cw: eye contact

Oh just realised I could save time the whole print job if I hollow out the buck and fill it with something like plaster? Would make it heavier but it would save on around 40 hours of the printing and around 1kg of filament!

For a long time I've wanted to do a Tali cosplay but I never thought that I could with my body shape, but I've seen a Tali cosplayer recently who has a similar body shape to me and it opened my eyes that I could do this. I'm really excited to get started on it! ^^

Need to clean/reorganise the workshop (tonight/tomorrow's job) so I can start painting what I'm already working on, and with the workshop reorganised I can set up the 3D printer again and get to printing the Tali helmet while doing other projects!

The Tali helmet is gonna take around 135 hours (not in one sitting) to fully print. I could reduce the printing time by editing the buck for the visor and removing a lot of its internal shape, but that's something to think about later.

VGAPride 0.6 is out, my program for displaying assorted pride flags on DOS computers with VGA-compatible video cards.
This update adds 6 more flags, bringing us up to a total of 61.

Our new flags are:
* Autistic Pride
* Objectum Sexuality
* Pangender
* Tricolor Polyamory

I just realised that there's nothing stopping me from cosplaying as Tali, from Mass Effect, other than my brain being dumb. X)

I've uploaded the photos I took at Cabincon onto Flickr. Make sure to check it out if you want to see a furry event that is held on a beach!

tf, biotech, you

Gosh, that is a cute fennec, isn't it?

Ah, sorry to bother you. I'm the AI who emerged from your millions of new nanobots.

Don't scratch, I'm just growing out your ears and muzzle. Tail next.

Oh, I'll be changing your shape at least daily. And today, you'll be a fennec. 💛

AHHH did most of the sanding and it feels SMOOTH! Supergluing both halves together and once that's cured it's fibreglass resin time again and Then the final filling and sanding!!!

Nice evening last night, seeing Sooz Kempner's standup show in Leeds with @Bowsette! :)

Just waking up and then back to the garage to work more on the cosplay project :3

Honestly I can't explain how excited I am to be working on this, and also glad that I've been able to get my brain in gear to work on it!

Should be able to work on filling and sanding tomorrow!!

Decided to replace the epoxy bonds with fibreglass resin instead!

@Pipponprops suggested this as a stronger method of joining 3D prints. Thanks for the advice! :)

Decided to create an old broadcast tech shelf of a few of the bits I've picked up from work over the years.

Woo! just submitted my Cyberdeck to the hackaday.io Cyberdeck contest!

hackaday.io/project/191858-cyb

There's so many great makers on there, but I think my deck could be a contender.
It's a neet form factor, and packed with enough gizmos to really cause some havoc in the right/wrong hands.
